Earthquake Hits Delhi Again, NCR Shaken 3 Times in 7 Days

New Delhi, 24 February – (www.deccanlive.com): Delhi experienced another earthquake, with the epicenter in South Delhi. This is the third time in a week that tremors have been felt in the Delhi-NCR region.
According to the National Center for Seismology, a mild earthquake occurred at 11:46 AM on Monday, with a magnitude of 2.2 on the Richter scale. The epicenter was in Southeast Delhi, around 10 km below the surface. Due to the low intensity, no damage is expected.
Just a day earlier, a mild earthquake struck Ghaziabad, and last Monday, a 4.0 magnitude quake near Dhaula Kuan caused panic across NCR.
Strongest Earthquake in a Week Recorded at 4.0 Magnitude
Out of the three earthquakes in the past seven days, the strongest was last Monday, with a magnitude of 4.0. This quake, occurring at a depth of just 5 km, caused significant shaking in Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurugram, and Faridabad. It struck around 5:36 AM, waking up residents and forcing them to rush outdoors.
A day before, mild tremors were felt in Ghaziabad, causing concern among residents. However, the intensity was so low that most people did not notice it. According to the National Center for Seismology, the tremors were recorded at 3:24 PM, with a magnitude of 2.8 and an epicenter about 10 km below the surface.
