Israeli Occupation Forces Demolish Homes and Roads in Nur Shams Camp

Tulkarm, 2 March – (PIC): The Israeli occupation forces have demolished several houses and residential buildings in Nur Shams Camp, located east of Tulkarm in the northern West Bank.

According to local sources, the forces used heavy bulldozers (D10) to destroy homes near Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq Mosque. During the operation, Israeli drones were flying at a low altitude.

Reports indicate that five days ago, Israeli forces had announced plans to demolish 11 houses to clear a road from the camp square to the Al-Manshiyya neighborhood. The total number of demolished homes in Nur Shams Camp has now reached 30.

The demolished homes belonged to the families of Yousuf, Jabali, Murai, Abu Shalabiya, Irani, Shehab, Younis, and Ghoneim.

A day after issuing the demolition notice, Israeli forces gave the affected homeowners three hours to enter the camp and remove their belongings.

On Friday evening, Israeli forces forcibly evicted Palestinian residents from their homes in Nur Shams Camp, east of Tulkarm. According to local sources, the military continued its forced displacement operations, particularly targeting dozens of families in the Jabal Al-Nasr neighborhood.

The Tulkarm Media Committee reported that Israeli aggression in the area has resulted in 13 deaths, dozens of injuries, and mass arrests. Widespread destruction of homes and infrastructure has also been reported. The committee stated that 11,000 people were displaced from Tulkarm Camp and 5,000 from Nur Shams Camp.

The Israeli military’s campaign in the northern occupied West Bank has now entered its 40th day, with ongoing demolitions, evictions, and restrictions on displaced residents returning. The destruction has continued for 34 days in Tulkarm Camp and 21 days in Nur Shams Camp.
