Gulf Agent’s Mysterious Death in Police Custody in Nizamabad, Telangana – Ran a Consultancy in Jagtial

Jagtial, 14 March – (www.deccanlive.com): A remand prisoner died under suspicious circumstances while in police custody in Nizamabad, Telangana. The deceased, named Sampath, was a resident of Peddapalli district and ran a consultancy in Jagtial that sent workers to Gulf countries.

According to reports, Sampath had arranged jobs for some individuals in Gulf countries, but after reaching Dubai, some of them struggled to find employment and faced difficulties. These individuals later returned to India and accused Sampath of fraud, claiming that he had tricked them with fake visas. Following this, they recently filed a complaint against him at Nizamabad Cyber Crime Police Station.

Based on the complaint, police arrested Sampath and sent him on remand. Later, he was taken into police custody for two days of interrogation. However, this morning, Sampath died while in custody, making the case more serious.

Sampath’s family and relatives accused the police of killing him through torture and staged a protest outside the government hospital, demanding justice.

Reacting to the incident, Nizamabad ACP Raja Venkata Reddy stated that Sampath passed away in the hospital, and doctors confirmed his death.

To determine the exact cause of death, a team of three doctors will conduct a post-mortem examination.

Meanwhile, police have registered a case of suspicious death and started an investigation. Authorities assured that the facts will soon be revealed to the public.
