Israeli Forces’ Plan to Demolish Buildings in Jenin is Part of Genocidal War: Hamas

Jenin, 20 March – (PIC): Hamas has strongly condemned the Israeli army’s plan to demolish more than 95 residential buildings in Jenin refugee camp, calling it a continuation of the ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people. In a statement, Hamas said that this demolition order is part of the Israeli army’s crimes and terrorism targeting Palestinians.

According to Hamas, these demolition orders have come after 58 days of continuous Israeli aggression on the camp. During this period, over 512 houses and facilities have been destroyed, leaving more than 21,000 residents homeless.

Hamas accused the international community of remaining silent while Israel continues its destruction in Gaza and the West Bank. The statement urged the Palestinian people and resistance fighters to stand firm against Israel’s oppressive plans, stating that Palestinians will not give up their right to defend their land and holy sites.

The Israeli army has already demolished over 60 buildings in the northern West Bank’s Jenin refugee camp. For the past 58 days, the army has been bulldozing homes, setting them on fire, and converting some into military bases.

Hamas reported that during this period, Israeli forces have arrested around 227 Palestinian civilians. The Jenin municipality stated that the Israeli army has destroyed 100% of the camp’s roads and nearly 80% of Jenin city’s roads, forcing 3,200 families to leave their homes.
