More than 50,000 Palestinians killed and 113,000 Injured since Israel’s war on Gaza began

Gaza, 23 March – (PIC): Dr. Munir Al-Barsh, Director General of the Ministry of Health, reported that the number of martyrs in Gaza due to the genocide by Israeli forces has exceeded 50,000, while the number of injuries has surpassed 113,000 since the beginning of the assault.
In a press statement on Sunday, Dr. Al-Barsh confirmed that since the genocidal war began on October 7, 2023, a total of 50,021 people have been killed, and 113,274 others have been injured.
Among the victims, 15,613 were children, including 872 infants who did not reach their first birthday. Additionally, 247 children were born and martyred during the ongoing attacks.
Dr. Al-Barsh also highlighted that around 7% of Gaza’s total population has been either killed or injured in this war.
Moreover, 25,000 of the injured require long-term rehabilitation and treatment, while approximately 4,700 amputations have been recorded, including 850 children who have lost limbs.
He warned that the humanitarian and medical situation in Gaza is worsening rapidly due to the ongoing siege and blockade imposed by Israeli forces.
Hospitals are overwhelmed and unable to handle the large number of casualties. They lack basic medical supplies and equipment, making it increasingly difficult to treat the injured as the Israeli aggression continues.
