Hyderabad: Shocking Incident in Kondapur – Pregnant Woman in Coma After Brutal Attack by Husband
Hyderabad, 7 April (www.deccanlive.com): In Hyderabad, a man brutally attacked his pregnant wife in broad daylight, leaving her seriously injured and now in a coma. This incident happened five days ago, but it was reported in the media only recently.
According to details, Mohammed Basirat from Vikarabad district met a woman named Shabana Parveen from Kolkata during a trip to Ajmer Sharif in January 2023. They fell in love and got married in October 2024.
After marriage, the couple started living in Aditya Nagar, Hafeezpet, Hyderabad. Basirat works as an interior designer, and Shabana is currently two months pregnant.
Last week, Shabana became unwell, and Basirat took her to a hospital in Raghavendra Colony, Kondapur. After two days of treatment, she was discharged on the night of April 1st.
As the couple came out of the hospital, they had an argument, and suddenly Basirat attacked Shabana with a cement brick, hitting her 10 to 12 times on the road. After the attack, he ran away.
People nearby saw the attack and informed the police. Shabana was first taken to Osmania Hospital in critical condition, then later shifted to a private hospital in Miyapur, and finally moved to NIMS Hospital.
Currently, Shabana is in a coma. The police have registered a case, arrested Basirat, and sent him to jail.
