Hyderabad: 5-Year-Old Boy Dies After Leg Surgery – Family Blames Hospital

Hyderabad, 8 July – (www.deccanlive.com): A tragic incident happened at a private hospital in Banjara Hills, Road No. 12, where a 5-year-old boy lost his life after undergoing a surgery on his leg. The boy’s family is blaming the doctors for negligence.
The incident happened at TX Hospital. The boy, named Sirisat Tulasiram, was from Mendapalli village in Indravelli Mandal, Adilabad district.
What Happened?
Tulasiram had been suffering from a bone infection called osteomyelitis for the past few months. Around 8 months ago, he was admitted to TX Hospital, where doctors did a surgery. He was slowly recovering.
However, last Friday, he again developed an infection in his leg. His family rushed him back to TX Hospital. Doctors performed another surgery on his leg around 2 PM on Sunday.
Soon after the operation, the child’s leg turned blue, which worried the family. Doctors then said they would do a second surgery at 11 PM the same night.
But sadly, early Monday morning around 4 AM, doctors informed the family that the child had suffered a heart stroke, and by 8 AM, he had passed away. The hospital handed over the boy’s body to his family.
Family’s Anger and Protest
The child’s family members became angry and started protesting, accusing the hospital of medical negligence. They said the hospital’s carelessness caused the child’s death.
Police from Banjara Hills reached the hospital after getting the information. Police told the family to file a complaint if they believed negligence caused the death. They also said they would register a case and investigate.
Later, the hospital management offered compensation, after which the family took the boy’s body and left.
