Telangana to Issue 3.58 Lakh New Ration Cards Statewide: How to Check Your Name in the New List
Hyderabad, 14 July – (www.deccanlive.com): Good news for the people of Telangana – the state government has officially started distributing new ration cards. The program was launched on July 14 in Tirumalagiri Mandal of the Tungaturthi constituency in Suryapet district, with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy inaugurating the initiative.
Through this new distribution drive, eligible families across the state will now have improved access to welfare schemes. The government has prepared 3.58 lakh ration cards, which will be distributed at the district, constituency, and mandal levels.
Key Information:
A total of 3.58 lakh new ration cards are being issued.
The launch event took place in Suryapet district.
Nalgonda received the highest number of cards (50,102), followed by Karimnagar (31,772).
Cards are color-coded: families below the poverty line (BPL) will get cards in three different colors, while above poverty line (APL) families will receive green cards.

Steps to follow:
- Go to the homepage and click on the ‘FSC Search’ option.
- On the next page, under ‘Ration Card Search’, select ‘FSC Search’.
- Enter your FSC number or your old/current ration card number.
- Choose your district name and click ‘Search’.
Once done, your ration card details and family member information will appear on the screen. If your name is on the list, your new ration card will be distributed soon. If not, you may need to wait a little longer.
Financial Impact on Government:
Officials stated that this new initiative will add an extra burden of ₹1,150.68 crore per year to the state budget. However, the government emphasized that the move is aimed at ensuring justice for all eligible families.
