Congress Leader Haider Ali Brutally Killed in Bengaluru, Police Suspect Gang War

Bengaluru, 23 February – (www.deccanlive.com): A local Congress leader, Haider Ali, was brutally murdered in Bengaluru Central. According to the police, Haider Ali, a close associate of Congress MLA N.A. Haris, was attacked near Garuda Mall in Ashok Nagar while riding a motorcycle with his friend around 1 AM on Saturday night.

As per reports, a group of individuals chased and surrounded Ali before launching a fatal attack. He was immediately taken to Bowring Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. The incident occurred near Ashok Nagar Police Station, prompting a swift response from the police.

Bengaluru City Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central), Shekhar H. Taknavar, confirmed that Haider Ali, who had a criminal record with 11 cases filed against him, was attacked between 1 AM and 1:30 AM while returning from a bar. Unknown assailants suddenly ambushed him and attacked him with dangerous weapons. His driver sustained minor injuries.

The police have registered a murder case, and investigations are ongoing. No arrests have been made yet, but authorities are actively searching for the killers.

After the murder, a large crowd of Ali’s supporters gathered outside the hospital, with some carrying swords and other weapons, causing panic among the public. The police are concerned about possible tension in the area.

Officials suspect that the murder might be linked to gang rivalry, as Haider Ali had a history of criminal involvement. The police have intensified efforts to track down the suspects.
