CONGRESS vs BRS: KTR’s Challenge Deadline is Today – What Will Happen at the Press Club?

Hyderabad, 8 July – (www.deccanlive.com): Politics in Telangana have once again heated up. A strong war of words is going on between the ruling Congress and the opposition BRS (Bharat Rashtra Samithi). Both parties are challenging each other for an open debate — ready to discuss what happened during their respective governments.

Congress and BRS leaders are saying, “Set the time and place, we are ready to talk.” This has created a tense political situation in the state.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy recently challenged BRS to debate on the jobs given by the Congress government and the development it claims to have done. BRS leader K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) accepted the challenge, saying he has the courage and is ready to debate anywhere — at any time and any place.

KTR gave a deadline for the debate — July 8 at 11 AM, and he invited Congress to come to Press Club for the discussion.

Ministers React – Debate Should Be in the Assembly

However, some ministers have responded to KTR’s challenge saying the debate should not be at the Press Club, but rather in the Telangana Legislative Assembly. According to them, the Assembly is the right place for such discussions.

Farmers’ Issues at the Center of the Political Fight

Farmers’ welfare has become the main point of this political clash. CM Revanth Reddy said he is ready to debate on what Congress has done for farmers in just one year, compared to BRS’s 10 years of rule. He said that Congress has already given more than Rs. 1 lakh crore to farmers in one year.

Revanth Reddy claimed that Congress has created a “Farmers’ Government”, and he is ready to debate this topic — whether in the Assembly or in Parliament. He even challenged national leaders like Modi, KCR, Kishan Reddy, or KTR to come and join the debate.

KTR Fires Back – Fix the Time and Place, We Are Ready

KTR responded strongly to CM’s statements. He said BRS is ready to show what they have done for farmers and compare it openly. He repeated that he is okay with any date, time, or place — and even if Congress chooses who should represent BRS, they will agree.

KTR also accused Revanth Reddy of backing away from previous challenges. That’s why KTR announced that BRS leaders will come to the Press Club on July 8 at 11 AM — with or without the CM. He said, “Whether the CM comes alone or with a group, we are ready.”

What Will Happen Today?

Now that July 8 has arrived, everyone is waiting to see what happens. Will KTR and his team really come to the Press Club? If yes, who will join him? Will Congress leaders respond or attend?

There is a lot of public interest in how today’s events will unfold. Telangana’s political battle is reaching a new high — and all eyes are on the Press Club.
