Dr. Zakir Naik Meets Nawaz Sharif and Jamaat-e-Islami Leader in Pakistan

Lahore, 17 March – (www.deccanlive.com): Renowned Islamic scholar Dr. Zakir Naik met former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at Jati Umra, Raiwind. The meeting, which also included Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, focused on issues faced by the Muslim Ummah. Dr. Zakir Naik also discussed the significance of the second Ashra of Ramadan during the meeting. Nawaz Sharif appreciated Dr. Naik’s contributions to Islamic teachings and his efforts in spreading religious knowledge globally. After the meeting, Dr. Zakir Naik left Jati Umra.

Visit to Jamaat-e-Islami Headquarters
Earlier, Dr. Zakir Naik visited Mansoorah, the headquarters of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, where he met Jamaat-e-Islami leader Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman. He was warmly welcomed and given a tour of the organization’s different departments. Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman briefed Dr. Naik on Jamaat-e-Islami’s religious, educational, and welfare activities.

The Jamaat-e-Islami leader emphasized the importance of unity among Muslims, peace, and the empowerment of youth through education and technology. He highlighted the party’s efforts in social welfare and humanitarian services.

Dr. Zakir Naik expressed his admiration for Jamaat-e-Islami’s work and mentioned that he had long wanted to visit Mansoorah, but security concerns prevented him from doing so during his previous visit to Pakistan. He praised Jamaat-e-Islami’s contributions in various fields and expressed satisfaction with their efforts.

Dr. Zakir Naik’s visit to Pakistan and his meetings with key political and religious leaders highlight his continued influence in the Muslim world and his commitment to religious and educational discussions.
