Hindu Woman Organizing Iftar at Delhi’s Jama Masjid for Three Years

New Delhi, 21 March – (www.deccanlive.com): In the holy month of Ramadan, every afternoon, Neha Bharti arrives at Delhi’s historic Jama Masjid to arrange Iftar for fasting Muslims.
Neha Bharti, a 27-year-old Hindu woman, has been providing Iftar for the past three years. Her initiative is fully supported by her parents, who wish to spread a message of peace and harmony in India, despite the rising religious tensions.
Neha says, “I wanted to show that Hindu-Muslim unity still exists. Many people are setting great examples of brotherhood and doing good deeds.”
Both Hindus and Muslims support Neha in this noble act. Many Hindu individuals also contribute donations and help her organize food and drinks for fasting people at Jama Masjid.
Ramsha Noor, who has been supporting Neha since the beginning, says, “This is a positive message, especially for girls, encouraging them to step out and help others. Initially, we were just two girls, but now our team has grown to five.”
Anas Ahmed, who regularly participates in Neha’s Iftar arrangement, shares, “Receiving Iftar from Neha gives a unique spiritual joy.”
Zaid Qureshi and Mohammad Afroz also praised Neha’s efforts, saying, “This is a great example of Hindu-Muslim unity. Neha is spreading love and a message of brotherhood. May Allah reward her for this noble work.”
