Hyderabad Health Clinic Shut Down Over Allegations of Fraudulent Practices

Hyderabad, 22 February – (www.deccanlive.com): In a significant crackdown on illegal medical practices, the Department of AYUSH has sealed an unlicensed health clinic in Jalpally, Hyderabad. The clinic, run by Dr. Attaullah Khan, was accused of malpractice, misleading patients, and selling unregulated medicines.

Clinic Raided Over Serious Allegations
The AYUSH department took action after receiving complaints that the clinic was charging large amounts of money from patients while providing medications with no proper labels, manufacturing details, or expiry dates. Further investigations revealed that Attaullah Khan had no recognized medical degree, despite claiming to practice Ayurveda and Unani medicine based on knowledge passed down by his ancestors. Officials stated that such practices violate medical regulations and put patients’ health at risk.

Authorities Ignored Before the Raid
AYUSH officials had previously issued a notice to Attaullah Khan a week before the raid, warning him to comply with regulations. However, since he failed to respond, the clinic was sealed to prevent further harm to the public.

Warning Issued Against Fake Medical Practitioners
Inspector Dr. Prithviraj from AYUSH urged the public to report fraudulent Unani, Homeopathy, and Ayurveda practitioners to the AYUSH office in Secunderabad. The department is actively working to eliminate fake medical practitioners who exploit vulnerable patients.

Strict Actions to Protect Public Health
With rising cases of fraudulent medical practices, authorities are tightening regulations to ensure patient safety. The government continues to crack down on illegal clinics and misleading medical claims to protect the public from health risks and financial exploitation.
