Hyderabad House Robbery: Major Theft After Family Went for Iftar Feast

Hyderabad, 18 March – (www.deccanlive.com): Taking advantage of the Ramazan season, thieves broke into a house in Diamond Hills Colony, Shaikpet, and stole valuable items. The robbery happened on Monday (March 17) near Film Nagar, Hyderabad.

The house belongs to Mohammed Mujahid Kamal, who lives in Australia with his family. He came to Hyderabad in January this year. On Monday morning, he locked the house and went with his family to a relative’s house for an Iftar feast.

Seeing the house empty, the thieves broke open the main door and entered the house. They stole around 32 tolas of gold and ₹3 lakh in cash before escaping.

The owner returned home around 2 AM on Tuesday and was shocked to see the back door broken. When Mujahid entered the house, he found the belongings scattered everywhere.

The thieves had broken into the bedroom cupboards and stolen around 34 tolas of gold jewelry, approximately ₹4.5 lakh in cash, and 550 Canadian dollars. They also destroyed the CCTV cameras in the house to avoid getting caught.

Mujahid reported the incident to the Film Nagar police, who registered a case and started an investigation. The crime team arrived at the scene, collected evidence, and began reviewing nearby CCTV footage to trace the suspects.
