Hyderabadi Couple Attacked in Goa, Case Registered

Hyderabad, 10 August – (www.deccanlive.com): A couple from Hyderabad was attacked during their holiday trip to Goa.
According to reports, the husband and wife had travelled to Goa for sightseeing and rented a bike near Panaji bus station. Even though they returned the bike on time as per the agreement, the rental operator demanded an extra ₹200. When the couple questioned the reason, an argument broke out between them and the bike rental staff.
The bike rental operator, along with his associates, allegedly attacked the couple. Both husband and wife were injured in the assault and were shifted to Goa Medical College for treatment.
Local police have registered a case and started an investigation. Meanwhile, the victims’ family members have demanded strict action against the attackers.
It is worth noting that similar incidents of attacks on tourists have happened in Goa in the past, some resulting in serious injuries and even deaths. Police have advised visitors to be cautious, ensure clear agreements when renting vehicles or making financial transactions, and contact authorities immediately in case of disputes.
