Man Goes Missing After Falling into Jurala Dam During Car Accident
Gadwal, 21 July – (www.deccanlive.com): A tragic accident occurred on Sunday night near Jurala Dam in Dharur Mandal of Gadwal district. When a speeding car came toward a group of young men, one of them jumped into the dam out of fear and went missing. Another young man was seriously injured, while two others escaped unharmed.
According to details, Mahesh (21) from Budidapadu village, along with his friends Janakiramulu and two others, had come to visit Jurala Dam. Around 7:30 PM, they were crossing the dam bridge towards Gadwal when a car driven by a man from Karnataka, who was allegedly looking at his phone while driving, lost control and rushed toward their motorcycles.
In an attempt to escape the collision, Mahesh fell into the river near gate number 53 of the dam and went missing. Janakiramulu was seriously injured, while the other two friends were at a distance and escaped without injury.
The injured youth was immediately shifted to Hyderabad for treatment. The accident caused panic in the area surrounding the dam. Search operations are ongoing to trace the missing Mahesh.
