Palestinians Trapped in Gaza’s Famine – World Remains Silent While Genocide Continues

Gaza, 23 July – (PIC): Gaza is going through a terrible crisis. The people there are suffering from famine, destruction, and war, all caused by the Israeli occupation. Sadly, the world is watching quietly while innocent people – including children, elderly, and women – are dying every day due to hunger and lack of help.
Thousands of Palestinians have already died from starvation. Millions more are facing extreme hunger and weakness. This situation has come from a complete blockade by Israel. They have stopped the supply of food, water, and medicine to Gaza.
According to UNRWA, more than one million children in Gaza are affected by famine. The UN’s children’s agency UNICEF says over 70,000 children are suffering from severe malnutrition. In just the month of May, more than 5,000 children under age 5 fell sick due to hunger.
Gaza’s Health Ministry reports that at least 86 people, including 76 children, have died directly because of hunger caused by Israel’s policy. This number is rising daily, as there are no proper medical services or food available in hospitals.
Heartbreaking stories are being reported: babies and mothers have died just because there was no milk or basic food. Hospitals have no milk and essential nutrition, making it dangerous for pregnant women and small children.
The World Food Programme says one-third of Gaza’s population hasn’t eaten for days. One in every four people is now standing at the edge of famine. This has affected not only their bodies but also their mental health, especially the children who are facing deep trauma.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has warned that if food and medicine are not sent immediately, the situation will become worse. Over 100,000 children and pregnant women are in serious danger due to hunger.
Many international organizations, including Amnesty International, have confirmed that Israel is using famine as a weapon of war. They say this is a violation of international law and is considered a crime of genocide.
Without a political solution or strong global action, the condition of Gaza’s children will continue to get worse. While the world gives silent and weak responses, the cries of these innocent children trapped in hunger and death are louder and more painful than ever before.
