Police Parades Two Youths Over Alleged Cow Slaughter In Ujjain, Forced to Chant Slogans

Ujjain, 4 March – (www.deccanlive.com): In Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, the police paraded two accused of cow slaughter through the streets. During the march, they were made to chant slogans like:
“The cow is our mother, and the police is our father.”
According to police station in-charge DL Dasuria, on February 16 and 17, authorities received information that three individuals were attempting to slaughter a cow near Jethal village.
When the police raided the spot, the suspects – Sheru, Aqib, and Salim – escaped in a car.
A case was registered, and an investigation began. Later, based on a tip-off, the police arrested two suspects, while the third remains on the run.
After their arrest, Salim and Aqib were paraded in the Ghatiya area, where they were made to chant slogans like: “The police is our father.”
A large crowd gathered to witness the parade.
Hindu Groups Protested for Arrest
Following reports of cow slaughter, members of Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad surrounded the Ghatiya police station, demanding immediate arrests.
Once the suspects were arrested, Hindu leaders and activists visited the police station to praise the officers.
