New Ration Cards to Be Distributed Across Telangana from July 25 – Orders CM Revanth Reddy

Hyderabad, 21 July – (www.deccanlive.com): Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has directed IAS officers in all districts of Telangana to visit the field regularly and monitor the work happening on the ground. He instructed that daily reports of collectors’ activities should be sent directly to him.
On Monday, the CM held a review meeting through video conference with all district collectors. The key topics discussed included the ongoing rains, the Kharif crop season, seasonal diseases, and the distribution of ration cards.
7 Lakh New Ration Cards Issued So Far
The CM said that over 7 lakh new ration cards have been issued so far. He ordered that the distribution of ration cards must take place from July 25 to August 10. Ministers, public representatives, and officials must participate in this drive.
He stressed that ration card distribution should happen in all mandal headquarters. Revanth Reddy also said that this is a continuous process and there is no need for people to panic.
No Shortage of Fertilizers
The CM clarified that there is no shortage of fertilizers in the state. He asked officials to display stock availability outside fertilizer shops on notice boards. If anyone misuses the subsidized fertilizers for other purposes, strict action will be taken, he warned.
Water Management Focus
Revanth Reddy also emphasized the need to focus on water management, especially during the rainy season. He suggested that each collector be given ₹1 crore to use in case of emergencies.
Ministers from various departments, senior officials, and all district collectors were present in this review meeting.
