Yogi Government Bulldozes Jalaluddin Chhangur Baba’s Lavish Mansion in Alleged Religious Conversion Case

Balrampur, 8 July – (www.deccanlive.com): The Yogi government in Uttar Pradesh continues its bulldozer action against illegal properties. On Tuesday morning around 10:30 AM, a bulldozer demolished a luxury house linked to Jalaluddin, also known as Chhangur Baba in Balrampur, in connection with an alleged religious conversion case.
The government says the house was illegally built on government land, and although it was not in Jalaluddin’s name, authorities claim it was constructed using his money.
Whose Name Is on the Property?
The house is located in Madhpur village under Utraula police station. According to documents, it was registered under the name of Neetu Naveen Rohra alias Nasreen. However, officials claim that the house was built with Jalaluddin’s funds, and that the land is government property.
Neetu, her husband, and daughter were allegedly converted to Islam by Jalaluddin, and they later moved to Madhpur to live with him. Jalaluddin reportedly built this grand house for Nasreen.
Several Arrests Already Made
Jalaluddin, his son Mehboob, Nasreen, and Naveen have already been arrested by the ATS (Anti-Terrorism Squad). The Revenue Department has been ordered to investigate Jalaluddin’s properties, and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) will also look into the matter.
Demolition Operation
On Tuesday, SDM Rajendra Bahadur, Tehsildar Satyapal Prajapati, ASP Vishal Pandey, CO Raghvendra Pratap, and SHO Avedesh Raj Singh reached the site with a bulldozer. All household items were removed and listed before the demolition began.
The SDM stated that the operation was done according to proper legal process.
Background
Jalaluddin was arrested four days ago from Lucknow by the Uttar Pradesh ATS, along with Nasreen. He is accused of forcing people to convert to Islam from Mumbai to Lucknow.
Eviction Notice and Police Action
Late Monday night, Tehsildar Satyapal and Inspector Avedesh Singh, along with a large police force, arrived at the house and pasted a notice in Neetu’s name. Police confirmed that the house was built on 0.0060 hectares of government land (plot number 337/370) in Madhpur. An eviction order has also been issued against them.
