“Kill All Adult Men in Gaza” – Provocative Demand by Israeli Parliament Deputy Speaker
Gaza, 24 February – (AA): Israeli Parliament Deputy Speaker, Nissim Vaturi, made an inflammatory statement against Palestinians.
According to the Hebrew radio station “Kol Barama,” Vaturi demanded the killing of all adult men in Gaza. He stated, “These (Palestinians in Gaza) are rejected, and no one in the world wants them. So, separate the women and children and eliminate the adult men.”
Vaturi believes that Israel is being “too lenient” with Gaza’s population.
He also claimed that the international community knows Gaza’s people are not welcome anywhere and is pushing them toward Israel.
This is not the first time an Israeli official has called for killing Palestinians. In the past, Israeli political and religious figures have made similar statements.
Far-right Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich has repeatedly called for the killing of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails. Similarly, Israeli Rabbi Eliyahu Mali, based on his interpretation of Jewish law, demanded the killing of Palestinians in Gaza.
On October 7, 2023, Hamas launched a major attack on Israeli military bases and settlements near Gaza. In response, Israel started a deadly war in Gaza, leading to the deaths and injuries of 160,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children.
Additionally, over 14,000 people in Gaza are missing, and nearly 80% of buildings have been destroyed.
