ICET Results 2025: Girls Lead in Pass Percentage, 62-Year-Old Man Among Rank Holders

Hyderabad, 8 July – (www.deccanlive.com): The results of ICET 2025 (Integrated Common Entrance Test) for admission into MBA and MCA courses have been released, and girls performed better than boys in terms of pass percentage.

Out of the total 58,985 students who passed, 30,986 are girls, making up 52.53% of all successful candidates. However, in the top 10 ranks, boys took the lead by securing 8 out of 10 positions.

The first rank was secured by Arla Kranti Kumar, a student from Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh (AP). The seventh rank was also achieved by a student from AP. But it’s important to note that students from AP are not eligible for admissions under the Convenor Quota in Telangana.

Counseling in August This Year

The ICET results were released on Monday evening at the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) office. The event was led by:

  • V. Balakista Reddy, Chairman of TSCHE
  • Altaf Hussain, Vice-Chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU)
  • Aluwala Ravi, ICET Convenor

They announced that, for the first time, MGU in Nalgonda conducted the ICET exam. Last year, counseling was done in September, but this year it will be held in August.

Other officials present at the event included Itikyal Purushottam, SK Mahmood, Sriram Venkatesh, Ramesh (Co-Convenor), and Prof. B. Saritha of MGU.

62-Year-Old Man Secures ICET Rank!

In an inspiring story, R. Surya Narayana, a 62-year-old retired officer from Teachers Colony, Adilabad, appeared for the ICET exam and secured 178th rank.

He previously worked as an Assistant Administrative Officer in LIC and proved that age is no barrier to learning. He said he prepared for just 3 months before writing the exam.
