Home Minister Amit Shah Shares Retirement Plan: “I Have Decided to Do Natural Farming”

Delhi, 9 July – (www.deccanlive.com): India’s Home Minister Amit Shah has revealed his plans for life after retirement. He said that he will dedicate his remaining life to the study and promotion of Vedas, Upanishads, and Natural Farming. He made this announcement during a program called ‘Sahkar Samvad’ held in Delhi.
Amit Shah said,
“I have decided that after retirement, I will spend my life learning and promoting the Vedas, Upanishads, and Natural Farming. Natural farming is a scientific method that not only reduces health issues but also increases crop production.”
He explained that chemical fertilizers used in farming can cause diseases like cancer, high blood pressure, and diabetes, while natural farming promotes a healthy life. He shared that he has already adopted natural farming on his own farm and seen a 1.5x increase in yield, with no water wastage.
He added that just one Indian (desi) cow can help cultivate up to 30 acres of land. In Gujarat, the government gives Rs. 900 per month to support cow rearing. This improves crop production, health, and soil quality. Shah mentioned that the government has formed committees to buy and export natural farming products. He also said that cow dung, often wasted, is useful in natural farming.
Amit Shah also spoke about the importance of the Cooperation Ministry. He said:
“When I became Home Minister, people said it’s a big responsibility. But when I got the Ministry of Cooperation, I felt it was even more important.”
He assured cooperative workers that they can meet him anytime and the government’s vision is “Prosperity through Cooperation”, which is PM Modi’s mission to strengthen rural and national economy.
He also said the government has identified 25 business models under Primary Agriculture Cooperative Societies (PACS) to help them become self-sufficient by engaging in multiple activities.
Amit Shah is currently serving as both the Home Minister and the Cooperation Minister, managing both roles since the beginning of his term.
