Telangana Government Issues Alert on Bird Flu: Advises Against Eating Chicken

Hyderabad, 12 February – (DeccanLive.com): In light of the bird flu situation in the Telugu states, the Telangana government has taken precautionary measures.

The government has advised people not to eat chicken for a few days and to stay alert about the virus affecting poultry. It has also suggested taking precautions to avoid coming into contact with infected chickens.

Additionally, vehicles carrying poultry from Andhra Pradesh are being sent back, and check posts have been set up at state borders. The Department of Animal Husbandry has established 24 check posts across the state. There are three check posts in the united Nalgonda district, eight at the borders of Nizamabad and Adilabad districts, and 21 check posts in Khammam, Mulugu, and Sangareddy districts.

Vehicles carrying poultry and eggs from other states are being stopped from entering the state.
