Tennis Player Radhika Shot Dead by Father in Gurugram Over Social Media Reel

Gurugram, 10 July – (www.deccanlive.com): In a shocking incident in Gurugram, 25-year-old state-level tennis player Radhika Yadav was shot dead by her own father. She was ranked 113th in the world as a doubles player in the International Tennis Federation (ITF).
What Happened?
The incident took place around 10:30 AM on Thursday at their house in Sector 57, Gurugram. A fight broke out between Radhika and her father, Deepak Yadav, after she uploaded a video reel on social media. Her father was angry about it and lost control.
In a fit of rage, he took out his licensed revolver and shot her three times. Radhika was rushed to a private hospital, but sadly, she died during treatment.
What Police Said
Gurugram Police spokesperson Sandeep Kumar said that the argument was related to a social media post. The revolver used in the shooting has been seized from the house.
Station in-charge of Sector 56, Rajendra Kumar, said that they received a call from the hospital about a woman with gunshot injuries. By the time police arrived, Radhika had already died. Based on statements from family members, it was confirmed that her father was responsible for the killing.
