Hamas Rockets Hit Israel – 3 Injured, Buildings and Cars Damaged

Tel Aviv, 7 April (www.deccanlive.com): The Israeli army spokesperson announced on Sunday that around 10 rockets were fired from Gaza, and most of them were intercepted. According to Arabiya’s reporter, missile sirens sounded in southern Israeli cities Ashdod and Ashkelon after the rocket attack.
This was said to be one of the biggest attacks in recent months. One missile landed in Ashkelon. Hamas’ military wing, Al-Qassam Brigades, claimed responsibility for the attack. They said it was in response to Israeli attacks on civilians in Gaza.
Israeli ambulance services said their teams were working at four locations where missile debris had fallen. Israeli media confirmed the rockets landed in Ashdod and Ashkelon. Channel 13 reported that 3 people were injured in Ashkelon, while Channel 12 said the missiles caused major damage to buildings and cars.
Call to Eliminate Hamas
After the rocket attack, Israel’s Finance Minister Smotrich said that Israel should not stop until Hamas is completely eliminated. Rocket attacks from Gaza have decreased compared to the start of the war, which began after Hamas’ major attack on Israel on October 7, 2023.
The Palestinian Health Ministry reported that since October 7, 2023, around 50,695 people have been killed and 115,338 injured in Israeli attacks. Since March 18 alone, 1,335 people have died and 3,297 have been wounded.
