Big Alert for New Ration Card Holders in Telangana – CM Revanth Reddy Makes Key Announcement

Hyderabad, 12 July – (www.deccanlive.com): After many years of waiting, the Telangana government has finally given the green signal for new ration cards. The government has already approved new ration cards across all districts of the state.
Now, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has fixed the date for distributing these new ration cards. On July 14, the CM will launch the distribution program in Tungaturthi. On the same day, 2.4 lakh new ration cards will be given to eligible people across the state. This move is expected to benefit around 11.3 lakh poor people in Telangana.
With this new distribution, the total number of ration cards in Telangana will reach 94.72 lakh.
Minister for Civil Supplies Uttam Kumar Reddy made this announcement on Friday. He said that CM Revanth Reddy will personally start the distribution program on July 14 in Tungaturthi.
The minister also clarified that the ration card issuing process will continue. Every eligible person will get a white ration card when they qualify. He added that the government is already providing subsidized rice to 3.10 crore people at a cost of ₹13,000 crore.
The ration card distribution will begin not only in Tungaturthi but all over Telangana on the same day — district-wise, constituency-wise, and mandal-wise.
Officials also confirmed that those who have already applied for new ration cards will receive them after a proper verification process is completed.
