Hyderabad, 16 July – (www.deccanlive.com): The Telangana government has started distributing new white ration cards from July 14. People who received these new cards are now eligible to apply for the Gruha Jyothi Free Electricity Scheme, which provides up to 200 units of free electricity per month.
This scheme is aimed at helping low-income families by reducing their monthly electricity bills.
Key Details of Gruha Jyothi Scheme:
- Free Electricity Limit: Up to 200 units per month
- Eligibility: Must have a valid white ration card
- Condition: If consumption goes above 200 units (even 1 unit extra), the entire bill must be paid
