Released Palestinian Prisoners Burn Israeli Shirts with Star of David

Gaza, 16 February – (PIC): Israel deliberately made Palestinian prisoners, released on Saturday, February 15, wear shirts with the Star of David and a threatening message in Arabic that read, “We will never forget, we will never forgive.” However, this move backfired.
Immediately after their release from Israeli prisons, the Palestinian prisoners not only took off these shirts but also set them on fire.
Many of the released prisoners were from Gaza, and some had been sentenced to life imprisonment. After their release, the prisoners who had life sentences were transferred to other countries, not staying in Palestinian areas.

Upon leaving the Red Cross buses, the freed prisoners made victory signs and burned the Star of David shirts. The burning of these shirts was captured in videos, showing the flames.
It is important to note that in previous releases, Israel did not make Palestinian prisoners wear provocative shirts. They were released in regular prison clothes. However, during the release of Palestinian prisoners on February 15, Israel made them wear shirts with the Star of David and threatening messages in an attempt to intimidate them. This backfired immediately, as seen by the Israeli media and authorities.
After fighting a 15-month war, Israel failed to achieve its major objectives. Eventually, a ceasefire agreement was made with Hamas, and Israel found a way to release prisoners from Gaza.
During this time, Israel realized that despite the destruction in Gaza, it had failed to crush the Palestinian resistance for an independent state. The images of the Star of David shirts burning on Saturday were seen worldwide, symbolizing the anger caused by Israel’s provocations.
Most of these prisoners had been captured by the Israeli military during the 15-month war in Gaza.
