Nitin Gadkari Encourages Muslims to Join Civil Services for Society’s Benefit

Nagpur, 16 March – (www.deccanlive.com): Union Minister Nitin Gadkari spoke at the convocation ceremony of the Central India Group of Institutions, Nagpur on Saturday. He stated that he does not believe in discrimination based on caste or religion and emphasized that serving society should be the top priority.

During his speech, Gadkari said, “We never discriminate based on caste or religion. I am in politics, and people say many things here. But I have decided to work my way without worrying about who will vote for me.”

Gadkari mentioned that his friends advised him not to make such statements, but he has decided to follow this principle in life. He added, “Even if I lose the election or my ministerial position, it won’t matter to me.”

Gadkari also highlighted that increasing the number of Muslims in civil services, such as IAS and IPS, would benefit society. He stressed the importance of rising above caste and religion to create a more just and united society.

Nitin Gadkari recalled that when he was an MLC, he approved the establishment of the Anjuman-e-Islam Engineering College in Nagpur. He felt that this was a crucial step for the Muslim community.

Gadkari said, “If more engineers, IPS, and IAS officers emerge from the Muslim community, it will lead to overall development. We have the example of former President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam.”

He further mentioned, “Today, thousands of students have become engineers under the Anjuman-e-Islam banner. If they hadn’t received the opportunity to study, nothing would have changed. This is the power of education — it can transform lives and communities.”
