Eid Prayers Held at Masjid al-Haram, Masjid an-Nabawi, and Al-Aqsa Mosque

Riyadh, 30 March – (www.deccanlive.com): Eid al-Fitr is being celebrated today in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Palestine, Qatar, and several other countries.
Large and spiritual Eid prayer gatherings took place at Masjid al-Haram in Makkah, Masjid an-Nabawi in Madinah, and Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, with millions of worshippers participating.
In Masjid al-Haram, Imam Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais led the Eid prayer and delivered the sermon, while at Masjid an-Nabawi, Sheikh Abdullah led the prayers.
Eid prayers were also held across Dubai, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Turkey, Yemen, and Russia. In Dubai’s Al-Qusais area, around 15,000 people, including women and children, attended the Eid prayer. Similar gatherings were held in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and other emirates.
To mark the start of Eid in Dubai, two cannon shots were fired.
Meanwhile, in the US, UK, and Canada, the Muslim community remains divided, with some celebrating Eid today and others on Monday.
In France, Eid al-Fitr is being observed with religious devotion and enthusiasm today.
Iran, Oman, Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, Australia, Pakistan, and Bangladesh have announced that Eid al-Fitr will be celebrated on Monday due to the moon not being sighted.
In India and several other Asian countries, the moon will be sighted tomorrow. Earlier, it was expected that most countries worldwide would celebrate Eid on the same day, Monday, March 31.
