Haryana Congress Leader Himani Murder Case: Accused Arrested

Chandigarh, 3 March – (www.deccanlive.com): In the murder case of Haryana Youth Congress leader Himani Narwal, police have arrested one suspect. Two people were detained in Delhi for questioning, and after interrogation, one of them was arrested.

According to sources, the murder was linked to blackmailing. Reports suggest that Himani was blackmailing the accused, which led him to kill her. The accused, Sachin, is from a village near Bahadurgarh. However, police have not made an official statement on this yet.

Himani’s mother, Savita, claimed that on February 28, Himani was supposed to attend a program by Bhupinder Singh Hooda in Kanthwadi. After that, she went missing, and on March 1, her body was found in a suitcase near Sampla.

After allegations surfaced, police conducted Himani Narwal’s postmortem on Sunday evening with her mother’s permission, but the family refused to take the body. As a result, police placed the body in Rohtak PGI’s mortuary.

Meanwhile, former CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda denied any connection to the case, stating that he had no program in Kanthwadi on February 28.

On Saturday (March 1), the body of Congress leader Himani Narwal was found in the bushes near a flyover close to Sampla Bus Stand. Since the body was unidentified, police sent it for postmortem.

Upon hearing about her daughter’s murder, Himani’s mother, Savita, arrived at the postmortem house on Sunday afternoon. She refused to perform the last rites until the killers were arrested. She also accused some Congress members of being jealous of Himani’s rising popularity and claimed they were behind her murder.
