Trump Reveals Golden Residency Card Worth 5 Million Dollars
Washington, 4 April (www.deccanlive.com): U.S. President Donald Trump has revealed a new “Golden Card” design. This card will allow rich foreigners to get a special visa that could lead to U.S. citizenship by investing 5 million dollars. Trump showed the card during a press conference on Air Force One and joked, “Does anyone want to buy this?”
The card looks like a credit card and has Trump’s face on it. The photo used is similar to the famous image taken when he was arrested during his last election campaign in Atlanta.
This new idea is like the older “EB-5” visa program. In that program, foreigners could invest at least $800,000 to get U.S. residency. But in Trump’s new plan, the amount is much higher, and he says it will offer more benefits.
After Trump also announced big new customs duties that could affect over 60 countries, the news of this card caused panic in the stock market. The Dow Jones Index fell by 1,700 points, its worst performance since 2020. The market lost about 2.5 trillion dollars in just one day.
In the U.S., it is not allowed to put a living person’s face on money. But Trump’s supporters in Congress are working on a new law to put his face on a $250 note.
