Warangal: Tragic Day as 7 Killed, 15 Severely Injured in Horrific Accidents!

Warangal, 26 March – (www.deccanlive.com): Warangal district witnessed a series of tragic accidents due to reckless and overspeeding truck drivers. In just one day, seven people lost their lives, while over 15 workers suffered severe injuries, including broken limbs.

Despite strict traffic enforcement on regular motorists, truck drivers continue to violate rules with overspeeding, negligence, and lack of proper vehicle documentation.

On Tuesday, multiple accidents across the district led to seven fatalities and left many others hospitalized. In Hasanparthi, a speeding truck collided with a bike, instantly killing two young men, Mahesh and Pawan, from Seethampeta village.

In protest against reckless driving, local villagers staged a half-naked demonstration, demanding stricter action against negligent truck drivers. Another tragic accident occurred in Veerapuram, Venkatapuram Mandal, further highlighting the rising danger on Warangal’s roads.

A series of tragic road accidents in Warangal district have resulted in multiple deaths and serious injuries, mainly due to overspeeding and negligence by truck drivers.

  • In Tekumatla Mandal, a speeding sand truck hit a pedestrian named Gopal, killing him on the spot.
  • Near Ramakrishnapur, a truck carrying cotton seeds overturned, killing two women laborers, Sandhya and Poolamma. The truck driver fled the scene.
  • At Kothapalli in Bheemadevarapalli Mandal, a tipper truck hit a person, resulting in the death of Pastor Karunakar from Godavarikhani.
  • In Mogullapalli, a truck accident killed Motkuri Ramulu, while a 5-year-old child was seriously injured.
  • In Venkatapuram Mandal, an auto-rickshaw carrying women laborers overturned while trying to avoid a speeding truck, leaving 15 women with severe injuries, many of them suffering broken limbs.

Locals blame these accidents on reckless truck drivers and lack of strict enforcement by authorities. On average, two innocent lives are lost every day due to such accidents. People are demanding immediate action from officials to prevent further tragedies.
