Writer, Devoted Follower of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) & Palestinian Commander Ammar Al-Zaben Freed After 27 Years

West Bank, 3 March – (PIC): Under the prisoner exchange agreement between Israel and Palestinian resistance, hundreds of Palestinian prisoners were released on Thursday, February 27. Among them were dozens of individuals who had been imprisoned in Israeli jails for many years.
One of these released prisoners is Al-Qassam Commander Ammar Al-Zaben, who belongs to the northern city of Nablus in the West Bank. He is not only a resistance leader but also a writer, novelist, and a true devotee of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Ammar Abdul Rahman Al-Zaben spent 27 years of his life in Israeli prisons. Finally, as part of the resistance’s promise to break the chains and destroy the prison walls, he has been set free.
26 Life Sentences
Prisoner Ammar Al-Zaben was arrested on January 11, 1998. He was sentenced to 26 life terms and an additional 25 years in prison. He was accused of being the mastermind behind the operations in Mahana Yehuda and Ben Yehuda, which were carried out by Al-Qassam Brigades in 1997 against Israeli occupiers and blasphemers in occupied Jerusalem.
Ammar was born in 1975 in Nablus. He is married and has four children: Bashar Al-Nasr, Bisan, Mohannad, and Salahuddin.
It is worth mentioning that Ammar’s mother was martyred in 2004 after participating in a hunger strike to show solidarity with Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails.
Novelist and Writer
Prisoner Ammar Al-Zaben is one of the most prominent writers inside the prison. He has written many books and novels, with the most famous being “When the Oranges Bloom” (عندما يزهر البرتقال), which won an Arab Cultural Award. His other well-known novels include “Behind the Lines” (خلف الخطوط) and “The Group” (الزمرہ). In addition, he has written several short stories, literary articles, and political essays, which have been published in Arab magazines and newspapers.
In his novels and stories, Ammar narrates the bravery of the Palestinian people. His writing style is unique, making him stand out among contemporary authors. His works aim to immortalize the courage and pride of young people fighting for their cause.
During his imprisonment, Al-Qassam prisoner Ammar Al-Zaben wrote several books and novels. In his novel “The Road to Yafa” (الطريق إلى شارع يافا), he describes the resistance activities in the occupied West Bank in a distinctive way.
The book also includes the story of a settler in Hebron who insulted Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Ammar describes how the Al-Qassam cell he established responded to the blasphemy with two bold operations in the Mahana Yehuda neighborhood of occupied Jerusalem, sending the blasphemer to hell.
