UPSC CSE 2025: Several Applications Rejected, List Released

New Delhi, 8 March – (www.deccanlive.com): The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released a list of candidates whose applications for the Civil Services Preliminary Exam 2025 have been rejected. The list is available on the official website upsc.gov.in.
Reason for Rejection
UPSC rejected applications of 43 candidates due to non-receipt of the ₹100 application fee from the bank. These candidates had submitted their applications, but their fee payment was not successfully processed.
Appeal Process
Rejected candidates can appeal within 10 days by submitting proof of fee payment. They must provide:
- Original hard copy of the system-generated challan,
- Debit/Credit card statement, or
- Bank account statement.
The appeal must reach the UPSC office by March 17, 2025 via speed post or in person at the given address.

UPSC CSE 2025: Recruitment Process and Exam Details
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced 979 vacancies for IAS, IPS, and other services through the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2025. The Preliminary Exam is scheduled for May 25, 2025.
UPSC Exam Stages
The selection process consists of three stages:
- Preliminary Exam – Candidates must first clear this to qualify for the Mains Exam.
- Mains Exam – Those who pass Mains move on to the Interview (Personality Test).
- Interview – The final merit list is based on Mains (1750 marks) + Interview (275 marks).
